Gentle reader,
Off Central Avenue in the unincorporated Los Angeles County community of Florence, we've found a little piece of heaven next to the cabinet shop. The proprietor has turned the verge next to the sidewalk into a miniature garden of Eden, with lush climbing vines, fruits and flowers, outdoor rooms, and a friendly flock of tiny chickens.
This beautiful place is down the block from Lucy's Drive-In, home of delicious chile relleno burritos that are a bargain at $6 and served with love. What a wonderful part of the world. How lucky we are to live in Los Angeles!
We hope you find much beauty, flavor, joy and adventure in the year ahead.
Yours for Los Angeles,
Kim & Richard
