Correct phone number (not webform, email) for asking Mayor Karen Bass to veto the B'nai B'rith demolition deal
Gentle reader,
Let’s try this again. Los Angeles has a thousand different ways of wrecking one’s morning.
Today, it was hearing from a number of you that the previously valid email address we used for advocating with Mayor Karen Bass to veto City Council’s approval of the secret settlement with Catholic Charities is bouncing back. Argh!
We’ve updated last night’s newsletter and the embedded video with an updated, active email address: mayor.helpdesk@lacity.org. If you emailed and it bounced, please resend. [Argh 2.0: this email “works” but isn’t monitored! The city wants you to use the webform at http://mayor.lacity.gov/Contact to “email” the Mayor’s Help Desk. Supposedly. But it is even more confusing when you get there. Is 10:00 am too early for a gimlet? Okay, forget sending an email. Just pick up the phone, dial Mayor Karen Bass’ office at (213) 978-0600 and say: “Please tell the Mayor to veto demolition of 846 S. Union Avenue, the B’nai B’rith Lodge!”]
Yours for Los Angeles,
Kim & Richard
