How do I ever thank you two for your sleuthing of corruption in my home town! I grew up until the age of 20 at Crenshaw and Washington; went to the St. Paul School on your map. I'm no longer an LA resident, but I care greatly about my early home, and the home of several generations of Angelenos.

Karen Bass is a fraud climbing blithely up the government job ladder, and I don't want to see her rule my old city! You have uncovered neighborhood sleight of hand, and I wish you luck in sorting out the truth of this matter. We all grieved the unbelievable death of Marvin Gaye at his father's hands. His memory will always be a treasured part of the neighborhood, and should be honored with a Post Office with his name right there where he lived! Keep going after the truth!

We're so glad this post spoke to you as someone with deep ties to the neighborhood. So sorry for the loss of both Marvin and his post office. Thank you for still believing in Los Angeles.

While we were scouting these two postal facilities, we passed Ray Charles Station close to what should have been Marvin Gaye's. Representative Diane Watson introduced this 2005 legislation to designate the post office close to the artist's recording studio and offices, and didn't change anything between introduction and dedication. That's how you do it! https://www.govinfo.gov/app/details/BILLS-109hr504enr/related
