Having worked at the Pantages Theater for years, I am very familiar with that corner. Here's what nobody is talking about: 3, yes 3 earthquake faults converge there. Look it up. The two monster hotels built on that corner should never, ever, have been built there. A fairly sharp quake could mean a huge loss of life. Now they want to put up a third high rise. Possibly the City should have an addendum for these insane developers. If a big quake hits and people die, you lose everything and are charged with murder. The current apartments scheduled for demolition are the safest, sane type of structure for that area. By the way, a couple years ago next to Capitol Records, geologists dug a large hole to test for a planned high rise. I would like to see that geology report. Much love to you guys.
